Stability • Dignity • Opportunity

“Their determination to learn is already there. The conditions around them should not be what decides how far they can go.”

A child’s future shouldn’t depend on a barrier that could be removed.

When a family crisis, a financial barrier, or a threat to a child’s safety puts their future at risk, we identify what is genuinely needed and respond with practical support designed to restore stability before a solvable problem becomes a lasting setback.

Thabiti Alliance supports vulnerable children and families in Kenya by addressing the barriers that can interrupt education, stability and protection.

The Reality

What Actually Stands in the Way

For many children and families in Kilifi County, Kenya, one solvable barrier can be the difference between stability and a crisis with lasting consequences.

A cost that arrives at the wrong time

School fees, a uniform, or essential learning materials can be the difference between a child staying in school and having to leave — even when they are determined to keep learning.

A single household crisis

The loss of income, an unexpected medical bill, or one urgent expense can push a family that was coping into crisis — putting food, education, housing, and other essential needs at risk.

A safety concern needing the right support

Some challenges cannot be solved with money alone. When a child’s safety or wellbeing is at risk, families may need appropriate professional guidance, protection, and support.

These situations rarely make headlines. But they can determine whether a child stays in school, whether a family remains secure, or whether one difficult moment becomes a lasting crisis.

The Belief

Stability Changes What Becomes Possible

People do not need to be defined by hardship. Sometimes they simply need stable ground beneath them. When that foundation is restored, their ability, effort, and hope have room to grow again.

Stability

A secure foundation creates room for progress. When essential needs are more secure, children and families are better able to recover, plan, learn, and build towards a stronger future.

Dignity

Support should never require someone to surrender their dignity. Every person we work with should be heard, respected, and recognised as someone with strengths, choices, and potential — never simply as a case number.

Opportunity

The goal is not simply short-term relief. It is to help create the conditions in which a child or family can make choices, pursue possibilities, and shape what comes next.

The Model

How Thabiti Alliance Creates Stability

Our work is organised around three connected areas where focused support can address practical obstacles and help children and families move forward.

Education Access

We address circumstances that can keep a child out of school — including fees, uniforms, learning materials, and other essential needs that affect access to education.

Family Stability

When a documented crisis threatens a family’s essential needs, support is designed to help restore security and reduce the risk of a temporary setback becoming a lasting crisis.

How Support Becomes Accountable Action

Every contribution should have a clear path from need to outcome. Our model is designed so that decisions are properly assessed, support is appropriately approved, and what happens afterwards can be followed and reported.

  1. 1Need Identified
  2. 2Eligibility Assessed
  3. 3Support Approved
  4. 4Resources Delivered
  5. 5Outcome Documented
  6. 6Results Reported

This process is being built into Thabiti Alliance from the outset so that future growth does not come at the expense of discipline or transparency.

Our Starting Point

Let Us Earn Your Trust

Every trusted organisation once had a first project and a first partner. Thabiti Alliance is beginning with a carefully defined pilot in Kilifi County and a commitment to earn trust through what we do, not simply through what we promise.

The pilot is being prepared around clear eligibility processes, transparent budgeting, safeguarding requirements, sound decision-making, and honest reporting on what works and what needs to improve.

Our first priority is not rapid expansion. It is to establish a strong foundation capable of supporting what comes next.

The Governance

How Thabiti Alliance Protects Trust

Good intentions are not enough. Strong governance, clear financial controls, effective Board oversight, and safeguarding are essential to protecting the people we serve and the resources entrusted to us.

  • Organisational funds will be held only through approved accounts belonging to Thabiti Alliance — never through personal accounts.
  • Financial controls are designed so that no single individual can authorise a payment alone.
  • Conflicts of interest must be disclosed, and those affected must step aside from relevant decisions.
  • Safeguarding requirements and appropriate training must be in place before activities involving direct contact with children begin.
  • Funds provided for a specific purpose will be tracked and reported according to that purpose.

For Early Partners

Help Us Prove What Works

Early partnership with Thabiti Alliance is about more than funding activities. It is an opportunity to help establish whether a carefully designed, locally grounded model can produce meaningful results.

The first pilot will help create evidence that can guide better decisions, strengthen what works, and show where improvement is needed before wider expansion is considered.

Build What Can Be Proven

Meaningful change begins with a clear need, a responsible plan, and the discipline to measure what happens next.

Thabiti Alliance is preparing its first carefully defined pilot in Kilifi County, Kenya. We are starting at a scale where needs can be assessed carefully, resources can be accounted for, outcomes can be followed, and lessons can guide what comes next.

For early partners, this is an opportunity to help establish the standards and evidence that can support Thabiti Alliance’s future development.
