About Us

“Thabiti Alliance exists to strengthen vulnerable children and families in Kenya by helping them overcome barriers, build lasting stability and access the opportunities they need to shape their own futures.”

Thabiti Alliance is being established in Kilifi County, Kenya, around a simple premise: the barrier is the problem, not the person.

The organization was founded by Edna Choni Nguzo. Its founding, proposed Board was confirmed at the Founding Meeting, subject to formal legal appointment upon registration — see Governance & Transparency for the full Board and current registration status.

CONTENT PENDINGA fuller account of the organization's history is pending further verified source material — do not invent it in the meantime.

What “Thabiti” Means

“Thabiti” is a Swahili word meaning stable, firm, or secure. The name reflects the organization's central premise: that meaningful opportunity becomes sustainable only once children and families first have a foundation of stability and dignity to build on — not the other way around.

Mission

Our mission is the statement above — to strengthen vulnerable children and families in Kenya by helping them overcome barriers, build lasting stability, and access the opportunities they need to shape their own futures.

Vision

CONTENT PENDINGA distinct, Board-approved vision statement has not yet been formally adopted separately from the mission above. It will be published here once it has been — no vision statement is invented in the meantime.

Values

Thabiti Alliance's values are expressed through its core framework — Stability • Dignity • Opportunity — treated as one integrated model rather than three separate promises. See Our Approach for how each of the three is put into practice.

Long-Term Ambition & Responsible Growth

Every organization that is trusted today once had a first project, a first partner, and no track record at all. Thabiti Alliance is at that beginning, and intends to treat it as a discipline rather than a limitation — starting at a scale where needs can be verified, resources can be accounted for, and outcomes can be followed, before any expansion is considered. Our first commitment is not to grow quickly. It is to become an organization worth trusting with more.
