What We Do

Thabiti Alliance's work is organized around a barrier-focused, education-first model: identify the specific barrier standing in a child's or family's way, and address that barrier directly rather than applying a generic program. Education is the initial strategic entry point, because school participation is often where multiple barriers converge.

A child's access to education is rarely limited by a single cause. It can be affected by an inability to meet school-related costs, a lack of learning materials, food insecurity, inadequate clothing, illness or other healthcare barriers, and unstable family circumstances — often several of these at once. Thabiti Alliance's model is designed to respond to the specific, interconnected barrier a child or family actually faces, rather than treating every case as the same problem.

At this stage, this describes the organization's intended approach and its first planned pilot — not a set of programs already delivering services. See First Pilot for the current status of that planned work.

Philosophy, planned work and implemented programs must stay clearly distinguished

No active programs, school partnerships, or beneficiary outcomes are confirmed yet — see the First Pilot page for current status.

Three Intended Areas of Work

Education is the initial strategic entry point — not the entire mandate. The organization's founding governance document sets out a broader scope, summarized here.

Education Access

Addressing verified, specific barriers that prevent a child from attending, participating in, or continuing school.

Family Stability

Time-bound support for families in documented crisis or severe hardship — designed to stabilize, not to create dependency.

Child Protection & Wellbeing

Responding responsibly to a child's safety and wellbeing, including referral to qualified professionals where specialist care is needed.
