What We Do

Thabiti Alliance's work is organized around a barrier-focused, education-first model: identify the specific barrier standing in a child's or family's way, and address that barrier directly rather than applying a generic program. Education is the initial strategic entry point, because school participation is often where multiple barriers converge.

A child's access to education is rarely limited by a single cause. It can be affected by an inability to meet school-related costs, a lack of learning materials, food insecurity, inadequate clothing, illness or other healthcare barriers, and unstable family circumstances — often several of these at once. Thabiti Alliance's model is designed to respond to the specific, interconnected barrier a child or family actually faces, rather than treating every case as the same problem.
